The OMEGA valve condenser microphone employs a highly sensitive 32mm capsule housed in the large basket, away from the body of the microphone. Delivering stunning results on vocals, where its proximity characteristics can be used to maximum effect, the rich, warm low frequencies blend with natural highs to produce an extremely satisfying result.
The OMEGA houses a 12AX7/ECC83 vacuum tube and comes with its own dedicated power supply unit, the SPS-2, which features a 75Hz low-cut filter and a -10dB attenuation pad.
The microphone itself comes in a luxury wooden box inside a rugged aluminium flightcase which also houses the spider shockmount, spare elastic bands, the SPS-2 power supply unit and cables.
