The LT-381 Oceanus features a newly designed large (1.23") dual-diaphragm capsule and a very unique circuit topology. This microphone is designed to be a high-performance vocal mic that produces full and detailed recordings.
The circuit topology features a miliatary-grade pentode tube with a carefully selected operating point as the input stage, and a transformerless tube output stage. This design increases clarity and transient response of the signal and reduces noise, RFI and signal loss. This also helps eliminate the harshness often associated with transformless mics and adds warmth and character. The mic also features variable step 9-point omni to cardioid to figure polar patterns.
This is a fantastic all-round studio workhorse with a deep, rich response for voice-over applications.
