Without a doubt the best SDCs I've ever used. I've used both these and the NT5s on many occasions and own a pair of the 55s. They give a really clean sound without sounding thin and high-focussed. You can give them gain for miles without encountering any noise and they work in virtually every situation.I've used them for all manner of instruments and on some really subtle, quiet, foley and love them. The filters and pads come in handy for live work but in the studio you usually have enough places to pad and filter that they're not ESSENTIAL. If you're looking for versatile, well priced and just generally lovely SDCs, grab a pair of these!
