ART have been creating innovative mics, valve pre-amps and problem-solvers for over 25 years.
Single-channel valve mic pre-amp with Variable Valve Voicing technology.
The Tube MP Studio V3 delivers warmth and fatness to any audio source while maintaining an exceptionally low-noise signal path. While its primary function is as a microphone pre-amp with +48V phantom power, variable gain and phase reverse switching, the Tube MP is also an exceptionally versatile tube driven direct box for any instrument source. The Tube MP Studio V3 uses ART’s proven V3™ (Variable Valve Voicing) Technology to instantly contour the tone to any source. V3™ presets were created and fine-tuned by some of the industry's top studio and live-sound engineers and allow instant access to a multitude of pre-amp settings designed for guitars (electric and acoustic), keyboards, bass guitars, drums, vocals and more. Additionally, the Tube MP Studio V3 employs OPL™ (Output Protection Limiting) technology to protect the next component in your signal path from clipping and overloads. The Tube MP Studio V3 offers exceptional sound quality and superior performance to that typically found in “on-board” pre-amps found in today’s low-cost mixers, multi-track recorders and audio cards making it an ideal tone-shaping tool for any application.

don't get me wrong, this is a brilliant preamp i love the features and the general build quality is amazingit makes my microphone come alive and boosts the signal perfectly no-matter if you're pod-casting, you-tubing, or just calling someone on Skypeit adds enough clean decibels to literally hear a pin drop across the room( really. )the case is a nice quality metal, with ventilation for the tube, and rubber feet for surface protection and anti vibration property'sthe analogue needle view-meter is top notch, very sensitive and accuratedoes not flop around like a cheap unit i have a feeling you could use it to tune the audio loop quite effectively if you do not have a digital input decibel meterit gets warm, but that's to be expected it has a tube the main device never gets hot enough to worry about, however..The transformer melted into my power bar in less than a week, i was going to return the product when i realized the included transformer is running at 100% load in normal operation and a new one was unlikely to help the matter.so i replaced the transformer with a'line 6 2A preamp power supply'and it works a dream, the higher voltage amp settings now sound clearer tooit's a recommended upgrade for sure.obviously i cant give a product with faulty parts a perfect review, but it's only the transformer that's causing problems, and it's a mass produced piece of junk from hongkongi have no idea why art chose to associate their product with such rubbishbecause it's top notch otherwise.I'd recommend buying this if you can source a 2Amp 9v AC to AC adapter to go with it.( not Dc )the uk power supply art delivers with this product is less than optimal.
