Call Costs

0800 Calls

0800 calls are free from UK landlines. They are often chargeable from mobiles and require the caller to drop the first zero, so our number would become 800 098 8079. A better option is the 0333 number.

0333 Calls

0333 calls are national rate numbers, equivalent to 01 or 02 numbers. They are typically free from mobiles as they are included within call plan minutes. This means that it will cost no more than dialling a Leeds or London number.

What is a Microphone?

In its most basic form, a microphone is designed to turn acoustic waves (sound) into electrical signals. This means that what is heard can be captured and sent somewhere else. One of the earliest uses of a microphone was as part of a telephone. The microphone part of the handset turns the human voice into an electrical signal so that it cam be passed through the telephony systems into sound that can be hear in the other person's earpiece. But mics have come on a bit since then...

There are now microphones available for every conceivable application, from singing on stage to miking up the heartbeat of a bird sitting on an egg for research. And everything in between!
